As an associate at Bridgford, Gleason & Artinian, Ms. Shonafelt currently represents California fire survivors affected by the Thomas Fire and North Bay Fires in 2017, the Camp Fire and Woolsey Fire in 2018, the Coastal Fire in 2022, and the Lahaina Fire in Maui in 2023.
Ms. Shonafelt graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts in May 2016. Subsequently, she earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in May 2022. While completing her legal studies, Ms. Shonafelt served on the Executive Board of Loyola’s International and Comparative Law Journal. During her tenure, she was elected as a Senior Editor of the Journal’s Inter-American Court of Human Rights Project. In addition, she has published two case summaries highlighting pivotal verdicts rendered by the Inter-American Court.
