Serapia Kim

Law Clerk

As a Law Clerk at Bridgford, Gleason & Artinian (BGA), Serapia Kim advocates for survivors of the Maui Fires, assisting them with their legal claims and navigating the complexities of mass tort litigation related to wildfire damages.

Concurrently, Serapia is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of California, Irvine School of Law. She serves as the Director of External Affairs on the Student Bar Association, the President of OutLaw, and a Legal Research Assistant at the UCI Korea Law Center. In her free time, she actively participates in several pro bono projects, which earned her the Pro Bono Achievement Award in her first year. In Spring 2024, she traveled to Mississippi as a legal researcher for Disability Rights Mississippi where she assisted with the Wallace v. Mississippi Department of Corrections case.

Before joining BGA, Serapia worked in the California State Assembly, Office of the Mayor of Los Angeles, and the House of Representatives where she advocated for families, small businesses, and community-based organizations as they navigated the COVID-19 pandemic. She also has experience in hosting press conferences in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. and in drafting bilingual press releases for elected offices.

Serapia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from Williams College. She was awarded the Russell H. Bostert Memorial Fellowship from Williams where she conducted independent journalistic research on wildfire policies in California. In addition, she was a recipient of the National Security Language Initiative for Youth scholarship from the U.S. State Department to study a critical foreign language abroad.
